Linuxtage

Here I collect my talks and slides from community events. The collection starts with the Grazer Linuxtage, an annual open-source conference at TU Graz where I gave the first talk in this collection. The event's program archive reaches back to 2003, and recordings from many years are freely available online, among other places on media.ccc.de.

The collection grows bit by bit. Every talk gets its own page with a short description and the materials that go with it.

Carinthian Linuxday

At the Linuxtage I am no longer involved only as a speaker. Together with the team of the Carinthian Linuxday association around Rene, I am helping to bring the Linuxtage to Carinthia. Graz has shown how much a community conference can do for a region, and that is exactly what I want for Carinthia. Netsnek is on board as a sponsor of the Carinthian Linuxday.

The next date is already set. The Carinthian Linuxday 2026 takes place on Friday, October 30, 2026, from 3 pm at the IT-Gymnasium St. Martin in Villach, and admission is free. The motto "21, is nua die hålbe Woarheit" alludes to the fact that the first Linux event at this venue was exactly 21 years ago. Planned are a keynote, talks, workshops and discussion rounds around Linux, open source and digital sovereignty, plus lightning-talk slots for everyone who wants to show something spontaneously.

If you do not want to wait until October: every second Sunday of the month from 4 pm there is the Linux Stammtisch at Freiraum Myzel, with coffee, conversations and every now and then a small workshop. Besides many Linux enthusiasts, you will regularly run into me and parts of the Netsnek team there as well.
